Steve Clark

Operations Manager

Steve left school and studied for a degree in animation and film special effects. In order to pay off his student loan upon leaving university he got a proper job working as a domestic gas fitter.

An opportunity arose to work in the British Gas depot where Steve developed from operative to Assistant Manager, Manager and area manger eventually transferring across the British Gas International on the Rosetta Gas Terminal project in Egypt as Senior Materials Coordinator.

After 3 years in Egypt, Steve returned to the UK and joined a Term Framework Contractor for Network Rail as a Contract Coordinator progressing to Assistant Contract Manager, Contract Manager and eventually Business Unit Manager overseeing a number rail building and maintenance contracts for Network Rail, Southern Trains, London Midland Trains and London Underground. During this time Steve gained a degree in Construction and Construction Management.

In 2014 Steve was asked to transfer to Kingfell as Operations Director to streamline and develop the business. Steve was instrumental in amalgamating Kingfell into its parent company Integr8 and has assisted in developing and growing the business until the present.

Steve still enjoys the creative and artistic side in his spare time producing animations, comic book illustrations as well as photography he also studies Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Michael McNeill

Major Projects Director

Michael joined i8 in April 2018 after working as Divisional Technical Services lead for ISG’s Engineering Uk’s major project division. Prior to this Michael was the Engineering Lead for ISG’s European Engineering Division in the Netherlands.

Michael brings a wealth of main contractor experience to i8 and is responsible for the safe delivery of large and complex major projects for i8 in Europe and the UK

Will Richardson

Technical Director

Started in the fire industry at a work placement as part of the sandwich year of my university degree.

Worked for Tyco as a draftsmen/ design engineer producing drawings. Developed my CAD drawings skills and learnt the basics of sprinkler system design

After completing the degree, returned to Tyco to work as design engineer for 4 years working were i gained a vast amount of experience and passed the basic, intermediate and commissioning and inspection LPCB competencies exams.

Worked on numerous projects designing sprinkler systems for schools, shopping centres, offices, factories, warehouses.

Designed temporary dry risers, a new sprinkler pump and tank house water supply, surveying the entire sprinkler system for hydraulic calculation and record drawings for the Dungeness Nuclear Power Station which was part of partial demotion programme.

incorporating a pump and tank concentrate foam system to an existing water deluge system supply for British Airways aircraft hangar at Heathrow. Which was being modified for the size of the Airbus A380 dreamliner. This included a foam zone deluge system at the roof with floor mounted oscillating foam cannons which provided coverage under the aircrafts.

Progressed to senior lead design engineer for the major projects department for Compco working on large scale sprinkler protection projects like the News Corp Building in London Bridge for ISG, the Holland Green complex of Residential and commercial occupancies for Mace Group. I worked there for 3 years

Join interg8 as the Design and Technical Manager at the start of 2016.

  • Responsible for managing the design and technical areas of the company.
  • Planning and implementing technical quality assurance of which involves reviewing inquires and assessing the clients requirements against the regulation
  • Provide the sales team, contracts teams and clients with technical advice and support.
  • Formally checks drawings, hydraulic calculations, site inspection, purchasing, commissioning, snagging, auditing to ensure the highest quality in the zero tolerance industry of fire safety.
  • Assist the design team with design development and with full hydraulic calculation modeling and implementation.
  • Managing the internal and external audits (LPS-1048 and ISO-9001) for the processes and quality of the company operates.
  • Design training for potential design engineers.

In my spare time i enjoy being social whether it be sharing some drinks with friends and colleagues or a round of golf. The outdoors and hiking. Using my time off to go away and explore new places.
